How To Care For Face Skin?
What is the secret of a beautiful face?
Proper skin care, the right beauty sleep every night, a balanced diet and an extra portion of care on a regular basis…
We must also remember that the needs of our skin change: During the day, it needs protection from the environmental effects, for example. At night, it is regenerating and therefore needs care that supports this process. Keep in mind that, the skin’s ability to regenerate wanes with age. So it is especially then that it needs care and nutrients.
You’re never too young or too old to start taking care of your skin. In fact, skin care and protection should be an essential part of your health, fitness, and beauty regime. If you take care of your skin, your skin will take care of you!
Throughout your life, genetic and environmental factors cause a lot of wear and tear to your skin. How you take care of your skin will determine how well your skin will look in years to come.
The Essentials of Skin Care
The first step to taking care of your skin is preventing damage. Sun, wind, pollutants and simply aging can degrade the condition of your skin. Common complaints include dry and itchy skin, wrinkles, sagging, color changes, and age spots. Fortunately there are steps that you can take to keep you skin looking and feeling its best.
Exercise, rest, and good nutrition are the foundations for beautiful, healthy skin. A proper diet isn’t just good for your overall health, it also helps to ensure that your skin will receive all of the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that it needs to maintain and repair itself. Drinking plenty of water is another great way to keep your skin healthy. Water helps to hydrate the skin and move waste and nutrients through the system.
The most important way to care for your skin is to protect it from the damaging rays of the sun. Ultraviolet radiation damages the skin and can lead to wrinkles, premature aging, age spots, and even cancer. Take extra precautions to make sure your skin is not exposed to the sun’s rays.
Dry skin is very common, especially with age. Older skin has fewer sweat and oil glands than younger skin. Dry skin may also be caused by improper moisturizing, certain cosmetics or medications. But whatever the cause, there are ways to alleviate the itchiness associated with dry skin. Avoid using harsh soaps, when you do use soap, try using a natural, mild soap that doesn’t contain any dyes, parabens or perfumes.
A skin care routine doesn’t have to be elaborate in order to be effective. But you should develop some kind of skin care routine based on your skin type, daily activities, and nutritional needs so that you can be sure you are taking the very best care of your skin. Following a daily skin care regime will also allow you to more closely evaluate your skin for abnormalities. Here’s a simple routine that you can adapt to fit your needs:
Cleansing
It is necessary to cleanse the skin every morning and evening, to rid it from dirt and makeup cosmetics. Wash your skin thoroughly on a daily basis to remove the dirt, debris, pollutants, and perspiration that have accumulated. If you have dry or sensitive skin, use only warm water to wash your skin and use a mild natural cleanser daily. If you have normal or oily skin, be sure to wash with a gentle cleanser on a daily basis. Be sure to brush your teeth before washing your face, as toothpaste residue can irritate sensitive facial skin.
Start washing from the eye area. Two different cotton pads must be used to purify the eyes. The hypoallergenic cleanser is applied to the cotton pad and then gently applied to the eye area. In a short period of time, makeup will dissolve. Gently remove the makeup by wiping outwards of the eye, taking special care not to pull or stretch the under eye area. Choose a hypoallergenic product to cleanse the eyes. Hypoallergenic cleanser is best for people with sensitive skin and for those who wear contact lenses.
Do not use hand soaps – they dry-out the skin, destroying the protective layer and minimizing the skins natural moisturizers.
It is essential to apply any beauty products to the face by the, ”massage face lines” paying careful attention to the proper application techniques, in order to prevent unnecessary stretching of the skin.
Toning
Hydration gives skin elasticity, flexibility and freshness – toner is the final stage of purification. An essential component of tonic lotions and toner should be enriched in Vitamins C and E: they protect the skin against free radicals. When choosing a toner, let your skin type be your guide.
For dry skin do not use lotions containing alcohol. Buy toner with herbal extracts, which narrows the pores. Wiping a face with toner must also be done by using the "massage face lines".
Moisturizing
Without moisture, the skin will not remain smooth and supple. The face is exposed to the drying effect of the weather, so moisturizers – which form a film over the skin – contain and augment the natural moisture. Using the tips of the fingers, dot moisturizing cream lightly all over the face, then continue to apply the moisturizer to the rest of the face and neck, using the "massage face lines".
Unless your skin is very oily, you will want to use a moisturizer cream everyday to keep your skin hydrated and healthy. Your skin needs moisturizer all year long as both the indoor winter heat, and summer sun can be equally damaging to your skin.
Protect
Use a natural sunscreen when possible, regardless of whether or not you plan on spending much time in the sun. The sun’s rays are very damaging and if you get in the habit of applying sunscreen everyday, you will never be left without protection. The sun’s most beneficial rays occur at sunrise and sunset.
Exfoliating removes the top layer of dead skin cells. Moisturizing helps keep the healthy new cells moist. This causes them to swell and cluster, giving your skin a smoother, less-wrinkled appearance. Pollutants outside and inside the body can build up in the skin and cause a dry, damaged-looking complexion. A moisturizing face cream can help free the trapped toxins and leave your skin looking radiant, healthy, and rejuvenated. While everyone knows that you can take care of your face, surprisingly enough, the lips are often an ignored. You might have perfect skin but your lips could look like the surface of a dry desert. Exfoliating your lips sloughs off dead cells from the surface, eliminating lines and cracks, and leaves your lips looking healthy and younger-looking. Exfoliants are designed to help remove the dry and loose skin from weather-damaged, dehydrated lips. You should also try drinking more water (the hydrating cure-all) to avoid chapped lips.
